Midday Movers: Bristol-Myers Squibb, Walt Disney, Carvana and More

Investing.com — U.S. stocks rose on Monday as investors await the inflation report for August. Here are the midday movers for Sept. 12:
- Bristol-Myers Squibb Company (NYSE:) shares rose 5% after regulators approved its oral treatment for plaque psoriasis.
- Walt Disney Company (NYSE:) shares rose 0.6% after activist investor Dan Loeb backed off on pressuring the entertainment company to spin off its sports network ESPN.
- Carvana Co (NYSE:) shares jumped 9.4% after Piper Sandler said the used car retailer was grossly undervalued.
- Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ:) stock rose 0.4% ahead of an investor day Tuesday when the company is expected to reveal its plans to reinvent itself.
- Oracle Corporation (NYSE:) shares rose 0.8% ahead of its earnings report. Analysts expect to see earnings per share of $1.08 on revenue of $11.3 billion.
